New Elf Products
I recently purchased a few new Elf products and realized that I had a handful of new colors. Of course, it would be only right to share them with you here on the blog. Elf cosmetics is an amazing company that I’ve been shopping from for about the last two years. There’s even certain products that I get from them that are my “restockable” items. You know….those items that you must have a stockpile of and when you start to run low, you must repurchase. I know I’m not the only one!
One of my “restockable” items that I’m continually purchasing is their matte lip colors. I cannot stress how amazing and nondrying these colors are on your lips. They are extremely easy to apply and has an amazing amount of color payoff. Not to mention, the packaging is perfect. The crayons are retractable and holds a ton of product. My favorite colors are praline (a neutral) and rich red (perfect red)….as of now. The new lip colors purchased are Berry Sorbet, Scarlet Night, and Mulberry Maven. Highlighters are my current obsessions at the moment. Excited is an understatement when I saw the new colors. I decided on Moonlight Pearls (champagne) and Blush Gems (Rosey Bronze).
The Mattle Lip Crayons are amazing and plan on wearing the Scarlet Night and Mulberry Maven a bit much in the next couple of months. I will let the Berry Sorbet hangout in the makeup stash til the spring season.
As you can see, in the packaging, the Elf highlights are beautiful. Too bad, the color payoff isn’t as beautiful. I had to swipe quite a few times to get this much color. Once you do get color, it’s not even, especially in the Moonlight Pearls. I must say the Blush Gem does look better on my skin tone. Granted these highlighters were only $1, so you really can’t expect the moon and the stars. I wouldn’t repurchase these highlighters, but these would be perfect for someone starting their makeup collection on a budget. I could almost bet if you wet your brush with some water (or MAC fix plush) then the color would pop more. Also consider using these highlighters on your eyelids and or as a brow highlight.
So tell me how do you fell about these new Elf products. Are you interested in purchasing any? Which is matte lip color do you like the best?
