It’s about that time when we need to do our mid-year check in on our 2017 goals (or goals in general). We’re all aware of how important it is to have goals. Without them, we’ll end up like a hamster on a wheel just letting life pass us by without living our true purpose.
First Thing First:
We need to recognize if our goals has changed. If our goals has changed, then our plan of attack has to change. Figure out what you need to adjust and refocus.
Mid-Year Check In- Note Progress
If your goals hasn’t changed, how much progress have you made. Those small milestones taken should have brought you to a new position. What haven’t you attacked? Why? Is it necessary? Seek help in areas that you dread or unknowledgeable in.
Maybe you need to take a different route. There is no one way to your success. You may have to take a different route based on your strengths, weaknesses and accessibility.
Make a new moodboard. Talk with your mentor (because we all need one). Come up with a master plan to carry you through the rest of the year. Make affirmations. Remember your why!
When I refer to goals, I’m not implying only on business goals. My own personal goals that I’ve been working on includes:
- Growing in my relationship with God
- Getting out of debt
- Living a healthy lifestyle
- Becoming active at my church
- Growing my brand
Where are you with your goals? Are you pleased with your results from the first half of the year? If you aren’t, remember that it’s never too late to start. Today could be your “Day 1” but you must START. Please don’t just go through the life working just to pay bills just to pay for stuff. Believe that you are here for a purpose and anything is possible for you. Have faith, get the knowledge and stay motivated. Love y’all!
